Much better climbing without lower back pain, Itested it on my Megatower on an uphill trail made for eMTBs.
And more room for saves in sketchy steep off cambers. Even with a 210mm travel dropper I felt a decent advantage on technical downs.
After the first few rides, I ordered a second one for my hardtail. It's an almost unfair advantage.
To play it save, a also ordered a rebuild kit due to me sitting in Bavaria. I don't think, I'll need it too soon, but I having is better than needing.
I hesitated at first due to having to get an overseas delivery. But the international delivery went really quick and simple after the production process was done. After placing your order, you have to commit your mind to something else, because you need some patience due to production times. I'd say it would be great if there where always some devices in stock, even with less or no colour choices.
This was needed as I had switched seatposts with a new bike purchase. The instructions and materials provided were quite detailed but easy to follow IF you take your time and don't rush the job (i.e. 5 minutes before you want to ride). I took the time to do this conversion on a rest day and it was quite easily done with the tools that most bike riders will have in their tool boxes. Great solution and nice that these kits exist. Thank you Aenomaly for supporting riders and their 'right to repair'. So many companies don't do this and force the purchase of an entirely new part to continue. Kudos to you! :-)
I've probably put more bike time on my switchgrade than almost anyone else. Two years of bike coaching full time in Whistler and squamish. Lots and lots of park laps too. The switchgrade would hardly move before rebuilding it (works great now though).
The lower pin that the side arms tilt on was completely seized into the main body and took a crazy amount of force to get it out. I couldn't press it out with a table vice and in the end it took about 10 minutes of wailing on the thing with a sledge and punch to get it all the way through. After that it was easy enough to get it all back together and it works like almost new again. Probably should have replaced it after a year instead of 2.
I think the instructions could have a couple more images with steps in it and not every piece was labeled so I didn't exactly know what was what in the instructions.
Overall couldn't live without the product. Back is always 100%, makes steep climbs and wheelies a breeze, and my girlfriend is a fan because I can actually feel my genitals after riding (paired with a women's specialized mimic saddle).
