Service & Maintenance
SwitchGrades are designed to withstand the rigours of hard riding, engineered from the outset with durability and simplicity in mind. Fewer parts means less maintenance required, no creaking, and zero chance of play. With proper care and maintenance, your SwitchGrade will outlive most of the components on your bike, including your frame. And when it comes time, SwitchGrades are fully rebuildable with mostly basic tools.
You'll find everything you need to keep your SwitchGrade running fresh below.
General Care & Maintenance
- Check fastening bolts after every 10th ride. Be sure to use medium (blue) threadlocker such as Loctite or Permatex to ensure proper fit. Torque all bolts to a maximum of 5 Nm.
- Clean your SwitchGrade with soap and water as needed, ensuring it is free of dirt or grit that may hamper performance. You may also use air compressor to remove debris if needed.
Rebuilds & Conversions
SwitchGrades are comprised of 6 parts in the assembly and a few small internal parts. Made to rebuild and convert easily, your SwitchGrade was designed to stay up to date as you upgrade your bike.
