I used to have lower back pain and they are completely gone simply because I have a really good position when I'm climbing, but this thing I have been riding it now for four months. They sent it to me and at first I didn't really know what to think about it and now it turns out that I'm using it all the time, I just love this thing. Same thing, zero maintenance, I haven't done anything on it, it's been on my bike and I just play with it, use it all the time so I have really  good position climbing, really good position descending, super super good!

Blister Reviews the New SwitchGrade 2.0

The Switchgrade 2.0 Evo mostly does the same things as the original version, but it’s a nice refinement of that design. The 2.0 Evo is a little lighter, a bit cheaper, can be swapped between different models of seatpost more readily, and is smoother and more refined in its movement. The Switchgrade Evo 2.0 also adds oval rail compatibility and a two-position mode that some folks might find preferable to the standard three-position setup.

Australian Mountain Bike

My first ride with a Aenomaly SwitchGrade is reminiscent of the first time I rode with a dropper post or with tubeless tyres, such is the gravity of its benefit.

Vital MTB

"We believe the concept is fundamentally sound, and it provides a true performance advantage both on climbs and on descents. Adding support and pushing your effective seat tube angle forward for climbing makes all the sense in the world, and gaining clearance around the back of the saddle on the way back down is equally beneficial."

Josh Harris, DPT aka Dr J MTB

"Now I still have the same forward trunk lean but I feel like I no longer have that insane amount of pressure on my perineal area I'm bearing much better weight through those ischial tuberosities or the sit bones but I feel like I'm just in a much more naturally forward position like you would want to be in while you're climbing your bike."

Loam Wolf

Nose-down climbing is an absolute pleasure on ultra-steep climbs, too. But in reality, I don’t tend to subject myself to that kind of suffering on an analogue bike too frequently. This is where my biggest revelation about the SwitchGrade quickly came into fruition – it’s an eMTB’ers dream. Seriously. When you’ve got that assistance at your toe-tips, you find yourself picking out the steepest and most tech climbs to get up the hill faster and make best use of the motor, and the SwitchGrade is a serious asset to improving comfort and control on the bike in these situations."

Pinkbike

"Matt said the downward tilt was such an advantage on steep climbs that he really missed it when returning to a regular fixed saddle: "like the first time you tried a dropper post - you don't know what you're missing until it's taken away. The ability to tilt the saddle nose upwards for descending is another advantage; it effectively increases the dropper travel by moving the tail of the saddle further out of the way, and it reduces the risk of catching your nether regions on the saddle hull."

EMTB Forums

"Basically - AMAZING! I don't need to say anymore. Don't try one or you WILL want one!!"

Leo Kast

German YouTuber

MTB-MAG.com

"I also felt that the climb position was even more beneficial on an e-bike where it’s possible to ride up even steeper the trails. In short, the steeper the climb, the more the Switchgrade helped out."

Bike Magazin (Germany)

"Gerade in steilen Rampen bringt das kleine Bauteil echte Vorteile, entlastet den Rücken und bringt Druck auf das Vorderrad. Ein Gewinn, nicht nur für E-Bikes."

Bike Gear Database

"In climbing mode, the SwitchGrade keeps you high above the bike with your weight above the bottom bracket. Being in this position gives you more power on the pedal stroke as you are pushing down, instead of being behind the bike and pushing forward. This also puts a lot more weight and traction on the rear tire, which keeps you moving up and forward easily."

NSMB

"What I discovered in running the SwitchGrade in the nose-down climb mode is that there are steep climbs where it's not just more comfortable but I feel I have more power as well."

"I ride with multiple folks for whom this could be the best upgrade to their riding experience since dropper posts themselves."

MTB-News (Germany)

"Man muss sich durch den exzellenten Popo-Support nicht mehr so nach vorn an den Lenker ziehen, sondern sitzt entspannt."

Pinkbike

"All body types will benefit from the improved ergonomics when climbing and feel less vulnerable with a seat in a friendly, positive angle while descending."

"The functional gains and compatibility of the SwitchGrade are huge talking points that are backed by solid performance."

Canadian MTB

The SwitchGrade EVO has found fans among pro riders like Brett Tippie, Brett Rheeder and Hannah Bergemann. But Noel isn’t stopping there. “We’re laser-focused on radical ideas,” he says. “We’re not interested in making ‘just another product.’ We want to solve real problems for riders.”

Bike Radar

One of the biggest advancements in mountain bike design has to be the dropper post, with the ability to move your seat out of the way – helping you control the bike better.

Aenomaly’s SwitchGrade builds on that theory, enabling you to change the angle of the saddle via a lever on its underside.

Mountain Biking Tube (Italian)

"How I found myself. Right from the very first outing, the advantages in the saddle, even on technical trails, were immediately recognizable.
The position of the saddle with the tip tilted -10 degrees downwards greatly promoted the relief of the pelvic area, even with a saddle I already feel comfortable on. The weight is concentrated on the bones of the buttocks and highlights how wrong the neutral saddle angle is for climbs,
where you sometimes also get that unpleasant feeling of sliding backwards."

A must for climbers!

Within one minute of use on a steep climb in my neighbourhood I was sold and told all my friends to get one. After my last two days of 500 M climbs I’m over the moon with the improved comfort and added weight over the bars on the grunt up. My friends now know they’re missing out since I had them try it! They all said they’re going to the local shop (Calgary Cycle) to get one!

Positive improvement.

The saddle tilting capability really helps when climbing very steep sections.
On my set up, I had to decrease the travel of my seatpost from 210mm to 190mm due to the fact that I had no margin over the saddle tube to lower it to compensate the saddle height increase due to the switchgrade installation (+17mm). It was anticipated and hopefully possible thanks to the 2x10mm OneUp dropper seatpost adjustment capability.
Thus, the saddle backwards tilting for DH is then welcome to recover the right clearance for negative slopes or jumps.
So, finally satisfied, and still getting fully accustomed to it.
An incredible improvement would be the ability to tune the angle of the tilted positions (using shims?). For example, a bit less would be sufficient for me when climbing.
Thank you for your innovation !

Absolutely Incredible

Loving it so far! Easy installation. The only small issue I have had is with my SQ Labs seat, the rails are a bit to tight under the nose, it catches the Switchgrade lever. So I have had to push my seat forward a tiny bit but nothing to bad. And clearly this is only a result of the seat I have chose. It has been an incredible mod to have on my E-bike, with how much I enjoy climbing now.

After a dozen rides

It’s a good product. I’ve ridden it a few times now. I like it. I have a command post on my Levo I absolutely love it that why I tried your product

Interfere with seat

Product is very good, working really well !!! Hi class CNC machining !!! The most big difference is in « climb mode » , means the swichgrade optimize for real your climbing position.

The only cons is that the top of switchgrade interfere under the seat and blocking the seat to flex so the ergonomic of my seat change a lot. I’ll probably need the change my seat because of that or selling my switchgrade 😩

I can send you pictures of what interfere if you want

Your taint will thank you!

Honestly had one of my better rides after installing this piece of hardware: the long grind climb was more comfortable, I was able to clean the techy climbs more easily, and my saddle was noticeably more out of the way on descents. I thought I was just getting another piece of bike bling, but I was telling everyone on the trail to get one of these.

Almost perfect

Absolutely 5 stars for climbing comfort; my lower back is so much better. At 64 with a bad back (L4-L5) . The climbing angle forward is awesome. For descent however, I find the tilt back too pronounced, it may be ok for super steep descent, but for the most part I find it to much.

Turn your park bike into a DJ instantly

Turn your park bike into a DJ instantly. Seriously tilt it back and go BMX mode over the big jumps and then when you get to the bottom switch back to MTB mode for the very comfortable ride back up the hill. Truly a well engineered product worth every penny.

Killer Switch

One of my favourite places to ride involves a lengthy fireroad back up the top of the hill. I don’t enjoy the climb. I usually get 3 or 4 laps in before I’m done. It just becomes too uncomfortable to enjoy any more, purely because of the climb. The Switchgrade has taken that discomfort out of the equation. Tipped forwards, that pressure on the soft tissue areas is greatly reduced. I’ve not needed the tipped back option yet but feel it will come in useful at some point. The actual quality of the product is truly impressive. Well engineered and fabricated. Straight forward installation and feels very robust in its usage. Takes a little getting used to but soon becomes second nature. Nice piece of kit. 🤓👍

Worth the wait!

The first time using this is up there with the first time I used a dropper post! The power I could put down on the climbs made me feel like I was on an e-bike. Nothing but respect and admiration for the team behind this. As others mentioned the craftsmanship is very evident and certainly a case of you get what you pay for. Will be singing its praises and benefits to other riders and putting an order in now for my second bike.

Excellent 😍

Totally wonderful on steep climbs and also on descends. Love it❤️

instantly climbed better

I recently mulletized my bike and increased the fork travel. I love the result, but as expected, the ride feel when climbing was worse. Felt like I was slipping off the back of the seat when climbing steeply. Just added the Switchgrade 2.0 and with the saddle tilt control my bike feels better when climbing than it did before the mods. Feels like my power goes straight into the slope. Has been a great upgrade.

I love this thing! If you’re thinking about it, just buy it!
