I love the switchgrade

I have ordered one for my Santa Cruz Nomad and increased my climbing substantially in AZ. I loved it so much when I bought my canyon, I purchased one for that bike as well. It’s a great product with a fair price and outstanding support!!

Great concept - excellent engineering

The switchgrade is a great Product. I have found that it is most useful in up only and down only situations. These are somewhat few and far between in my area in the Pacific Northwest, where steep ups and downs are typical even on Downhill trails. What this translates to has similarities to early attempts at dropper seat posts that had mechanical actuation under the saddle. It is difficult to find enough composure on challenging trails to make use of the switch grade angle frequently. I could envision the switchgrade action being fundamental to future drop posts and marking a dramatic step forward in dropper technology. I recall Specialized was exploring this a while back.

Cool Upgrade

I mounted SwitchGade on an YT Postman seatpost. I like the climbing position most, descending is useless for me, because I push the seatpost fully down and stand up.
SwitchGrade is now part of my YT decoy MX 10. I think it makes more sence on E-MTBs, because you ride steeper climbs.
